Crosslinked methylcellulose sodium is used as a disintegrating agent for capsules, tablets, and granules in oral formulations. In the tablets, cross-linked sodium methoxymethyl cellulose is suitable for direct compression and wet granulation compression processes. During wet granulation, the use of internal and external addition of cross-linked sodium methylcellulose can best utilize the capillary and swelling effects of the disintegrant. When cross-linked cellulose sodium is used as a disintegrant, the dosage can reach 5%, but usually the dosage in the direct compression process is 2%, and the dosage in the wet granulation compression process is 3%.

In tablets, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose crosslinked is suitable for direct tablet pressing and wet pellet pressing process. In wet granulation, the use of internal and external addition of crosslinked sodium carboxymethyl cellulose can best play the capillary and swelling effect of disintegrator. The amount of sodium carboxymethyl cellulose used as a disintegrator can be up to 5%, but is usually 2% in the direct tablet process and 3% in the wet pellet process.
